French topple Scandinavians to win top CWA Daggers

ghostFrench writers Fred Vargas and Pierre Lemaitre have been awarded the CWA International Dagger prompting comments that perhaps the Scandinavians have been wounded, if not actually killed off, as the major crime force. Vargas won for Ghost Writers of Ordebec and Lemaitre for Alex.

Andrew Taylor won an unprecedented third CWA Ellis Peters Historian Dagger for his The Scent of Death, Stella Duffy the Short Story Dagger and FinnPeking Clark the Debut Dagger for a Previously Unpublished Author for her Call Time.
