Why reading is good for you (and it’s not necessarily what you think

Did you love The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obreht? Were you absorbed by Don DeLillo’s short story The Runner? Or Anton Chekhov’s A Chameleon. If you were, not only did you enjoy a good read but chances are your Theory of Mind (ToM) or ability to understand the mental state of others got a big boost.
