How to choose a book for Book Club

Every month, after our Book Club has completed its analysis of our chosen book, we get around to the really challenging discussion: What book to choose for next month. Up to now, it’s been a pretty ad hoc process. As the gathered throng is knocking back the last of the wine and struggling into coats you can hear the query echoing ‘’so what did we agree on?’’

LitLovers, the ‘’wellread online community’’ site had some useful ideas of what to do and perhaps more important, what not to do when choosing a book. I’ve amended based on personal experience.
